Texas Restaurant Association to bring Texas Tour to Rio Grande Valley

TRA executive leadership to spotlight major advocacy wins and gather industry priorities for the next legislative agenda

AUSTIN, TX (March 13, 2026) -

WHAT:

The Texas Restaurant Associationwill bring its biennial Texas Tour series to the Rio Grande Valley on Monday, March 16, at the McAllen Chamber of Commerce at 2 p.m. The town hall will celebrate industry successes from the 89th Texas Legislative Session and recent Congressional session, feature remarks from lawmakers and gather industry feedback to help shape the Association's ongoing advocacy work.

The Texas Tour includes 20 stops across the state with town halls led by Emily Williams Knight Ed.D., president and CEO of the TRA, and Kelsey Erickson Streufert, chief public affairs officer of the TRA. Joining them in McAllen will be Sen. Adam Hinojosa, (R-Senate District 27) and Sen. Juan "Chuy" Hinojosa, (D-Senate District 20) who will speak to the industry's impact and any priorities they are working on for the next legislative session.
