On 31 March, Minister of Foreign Affairs Kęstutis Budrys, along with the European Union's foreign ministers, is visiting Ukraine to mark the anniversary of the Bucha massacre. The ministers visited the sites of the massacre and paid tribute to the victims.
"Today marks four years since the Bucha massacre. The world was shaken by the brutality of Russia's actions and the inhumanity revealed there. For many in the West, this served as a wake-up call, revealing the true nature of Russia's war," the Minister said.
Budrys emphasized that Bucha has become more than just a site of tragedy-it is a symbol not only of Russia's war crimes but also of Ukraine's extraordinary resilience.
"Today, together with other EU foreign ministers, we are sending a clear and strong message: we stand with Ukraine. We will continue to demand that Russia be held to account for the war crimes it has committed and will support Ukraine's recovery and reconstruction. The future of European security is being decided in Ukraine today," said the head of Lithuania's diplomacy.
