Update: Pavement maintenance using Onyx suspended week of Sept. 15, resumes Sept. 22

(COLUMBIA, MO)- Due to contractor scheduling conflicts, pavement maintenance using Onyx surface treatment on various Columbia streets will be temporarily suspended the week of Sept. 15.

A previous release noted that this work would occur Sept. 2-16. Crews have completed most of the published list, with 10 streets remaining. Work is scheduled to resume Monday, Sept. 22, beginning on Katy Lane, weather permitting.

Streets will be treated in the following order:

  • Katy Lane from Forum Boulevard to Limerick Lane
  • Katy Lane from Limerick Lane to Martinshire Drive
  • Misty Glen from Katy Lane to Valley Vista Drive
  • Westwinds Drive from West Boulevard South to the west end of the street
  • Royal Aberdeen Street from Glen Eagle Drive to Killarney Drive
  • Killarney Drive from Royal Aberdeen Street to the east end of the street
  • Sheffield Court from Forum Boulevard to the end of the street
  • Glencairn Court from Glencairn Drive to the end of the street
  • Stirling Court from Highlands Parkway to the end of the street
  • Stonehaven Road from Highlands Parkway to the west end of the street
  • Highlands Parkway from Glencairn Drive to Highlands Court
Crews will work daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. as needed until projects are finished. On streets where parking is allowed, orange "No Parking" signs will be posted beginning Friday, Sept. 19. Signs will be placed at least 24 hours before work begins. Drivers are asked not to park on posted streets during the times listed. Vehicles parked in work zones during active hours may be subject to towing.

Crews expect to complete Onyx treatments by 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, weather permitting.
