Small-business owners, entrepreneurs and startups will have the opportunity to learn how to make an idea into a small-business reality Tuesday, Aug. 11.
Kyle Trumble will lead a Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network webinar titled "From Idea to Compelling Business Model" from 5:30-7 p.m. To register, go here. Registration is free. A Zoom link will be provided after registration.
The Wyoming SBDC Network offers business expertise to help Wyoming residents think about, launch, grow, reinvent or exit their business. The Wyoming SBDC Network is hosted by the University of Wyoming with state funds from the Wyoming Business Council and funded, in part, through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
During the webinar, attendees will be introduced to the Business Model Canvas framework, a tool designed to help entrepreneurs create clear pictures of their concepts and be able to convey them to others.
Topics that will be covered include feasibility, desirability, viability, customer segments, channels and key resources. This is an active workshop, and participants will leave with a first draft of their business models; the confidence to refine and create new business models; and an increased awareness of resources available to entrepreneurs through the Wyoming SBDC Network.
Trumble is the Wyoming SBDC Network's regional director for Fremont and Teton counties.
