SIDNEY (Tuesday, January 20, 2026) - The Ohio Department of Transportation District 7 is seeking public comments regarding the following projects:
US 68 at Fairfield Pike Intersection Improvements, PID 120763 - ODOT proposes to undertake safety improvements at the intersection of US Route 68 at Fairfield Pike. The current preferred alternative is a modern roundabout. The project is necessary to address the high rate of injury crashes at this intersection. Construction is expected to occur this summer.
US 127 at SR 119 Safety Improvements, PID 120177 - Update: ODOT has determined to construct a modern roundabout at US 127 at State Route 119 to reduce crashes, particularly injury crashes. To minimize the construction timeframe and facilitate construction, ODOT will close the intersection for approximately 60 days. Signed detours will be provided. Construction is expected to begin in Spring 2027.
Needmore Road, PID 121675 - The Montgomery County Engineer's Office proposes to reconstruct Needmore Road in Harrison Township, from the west entrance to the Dayton Towne Plaza Shopping Center to the west limits of the Needmore Road Bridge over I-75. The project will also include installation of infill sidewalk at the Dayton Towne Center Shopping Plaza. The project is intended to address deteriorated pavement conditions, obsolete traffic signals, and gaps in the pedestrian system. Construction is expected to begin in Spring 2029.

Comments may be submitted by contacting the individual below. Issues the public may wish to comment on include, but are not limited to, the effect of the project on local residents, air quality, the local economy, and historic or cultural resources.
