Livestock futures were mixed as hogs gained while cattle were pressured.
Live Cattle futures were mixed as high prices may have reached their limit, with box prices and cash both declining. Feeder Cattle futures were firm as traders tried to close the gap with the September contract, clawing back yesterday's losses. Lean Hog futures made a new high as quarterly numbers came in below estimates, providing strong market support.
