Motorcyclist Killed Following Sunday Afternoon's Crash on Gallatin Pike South
Update: The deceased is identified as C.W. Smith, 36, of Nashville.
A motorcyclist has died after crashing into the back of a Toyota Rav4 at 12:30 this afternoon in the 900 block of Gallatin Pike South. The preliminary investigation indicates the northbound Toyota slowed to make a right hand turn into a parking lot when the motorcycle struck it from behind.
The 36-year-old motorcyclist was thrown from the Harley Davidson. He was transported to Skyline Medical Center where he died. Efforts are underway to notify his family. There were no signs of impairment at the scene.
