Meeting with the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea

An introductory meeting was held at the Secretariat of the Northern Forum between Deputy Director Daryana Maximova and a delegation from the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Irkutsk. The delegation included Consul Kim Seong-eun and Consular Officer Lim Jeong-hwan.

During the meeting, Daryana Maximova presented the activities of the Northern Forum-an international organization that brings together northern regions to promote interregional and international cooperation. Special attention was given to coordinating cooperation between the organization's member regions; in particular, they discussed potential interaction with Gangwon Province, which is a member of the Northern Forum.

Consul Kim Seong-eun expressed interest in the Northern Forum's activities and noted the importance of strengthening international dialogue between South Korea and Russia on the sustainable development of northern territories. The parties discussed perspectives for further engagement, opportunities for Korean organizations and experts to participate in the Northern Forum's events and projects, as well as the development of cooperation in scientific, educational, cultural, and humanitarian fields.

The meeting took place in a warm and constructive atmosphere and marked an important step in strengthening partnership ties between the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Irkutsk and the Northern Forum.
