Ambassador Martin Selmayr welcomes IDLO at Villa Europa

Ms Jan M. Beagle, Director General of IDLO meets with Ambassador Martin Selmayr

Ambassador Martin Selmayr welcomed today the Director General of the International Development Law Organization IDLO, Ms Jan M. Beagle.

The meeting took place at Villa Europa in Rome and allowed for an exchange of views on the future of multilateralism in a changing world.

IDLO is a Treaty-based intergovernmental organisation with 40 Member Parties. It is the only global intergovernmental organisation exclusively devoted to promoting the rule of law to advance peace and sustainable development, with experience working in more than 90 countries around the world with various legal systems. IDLO has United Nations Observer Status since 2001 and is since many years a close partner for the European Union.
