Honda is hosting events across its U.S. production facilities in conjunction with Manufacturing Day (MFG) focusing on the career opportunities available in the manufacturing industry. These annual events are part of the company's ongoing commitment to fostering an innovative manufacturing workforce that can drive economic prosperity and a bright future for the next generation.
The events, which are expected to draw more than 1,500 students and teachers from more than 50 schools, will be hosted at ten Honda facilities across the country where students will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities, including virtual reality simulation and artificial intelligence, to show how these tools are used in modern manufacturing. Honda facilities in Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, Ohio, North Carolina, and South Carolina are participating in the annual event that introduces students to a range of opportunities in manufacturing.
In addition to these activities where students can interact directly with Honda manufacturing associates, personnel from the Honda Procurement and Supply Chain Center (PSCC) will participate in events for the first time. PSCC associates will lead an interactive bag charm activity designed to introduce students to supply chain concepts and demonstrate how materials, parts, and products move through the manufacturing process.
"Manufacturing Day is about opening our doors and inspiring the next generation," said Meredith Reffey, Workforce Partnerships Leader at American Honda Motor Co., Inc. "By giving students a firsthand look at modern manufacturing, we help them see exciting career opportunities and reinforce Honda's commitment to developing a strong workforce in the communities where we operate."
Manufacturing Day Activities at Honda
At each location, students will learn about manufacturing from the associates who build today's world-class Honda and Acura automobiles, engines, aircraft and powersports products. Visiting students will tour a Honda manufacturing facility to see how advanced technology, automation, and associate collaboration combine to drive modern manufacturing. Students will also experience a variety of Honda and Acura products produced in the company's U.S. facilities using domestic and globally made parts.
Each participating Honda facility will offer exciting, immersive experiences for students that are unique to its location and the products it builds.

Honda Manufacturing in America
Honda has been building products in America for nearly 50 years since manufacturing began in Ohio in 1979. Automobile production started in 1982 at the Marysville Auto Plant in Ohio and, in 2025, more than 62% of all Honda and Acura automobiles sold in the U.S. were made in America, using domestic and globally made parts. Cumulative Honda auto production in America now exceeds 32 million vehicles. Honda now has the flexibility to produce gas-powered, hybrid and battery-electric vehicles on the same line in its Ohio auto plants.
Honda established manufacturing operations in America in 1979 with the start of motorcycle production in Marysville, Ohio, and today has one of the largest and most diverse U.S. manufacturing footprints of any international company. Nearly 23,000 U.S. associates support the company's 12 manufacturing plants in America, supporting operations that have an annual capacity of more than 1 million automobiles, 1.5 million engines, 30,000 power equipment products and 175,000 powersports products, as well as the HondaJet advanced light jet and GE Honda HF120 turbofan engines.
Cumulatively, Honda has invested nearly $21 billion in its U.S. manufacturing operations, including nearly $2.7 billion over the past five years alone. The company also works with 665 U.S. OEM suppliers, with U.S.-made parts purchases of more than $552 billion since 1979.
