Bridge Work on Route 40 North and Southbound in North Haven

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing bridge work will be performed on Route 40 north and southbound in North Haven. This project is scheduled to occur on Monday, October 6 and be completed on Friday, December 19, 2025. This project ensures the bridge remains in a state of good repair.
This project is being performed by Mohawk Northeast INC. and Dynamic Surface Application.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
There will be alternating lane closures on Route 40 north and southbound, from Route 10 (Whitney Ave) to I-91, from Monday, October 6 to Friday, December 19, 2025, from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Traffic control signing patterns, crash units, illuminated arrows, and traffic control personnel will guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
