Windber Hospice Earns SHPBEST Patient Satisfaction Award for Third Year

Windber Hospice has been recognized by Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP) as a "Superior Performer" for achieving an overall caregiver and family experience score that ranked in the top 20% of all eligible SHP clients for the 2024 calendar year.

The annual SHPBest™ award program was created to acknowledge hospice providers that consistently deliver high-quality service to families and caregivers of patients receiving hospice care. The 2024 award recipients were determined by reviewing and ranking the overall CAHPS Hospice caregiver experience score for more than 1,800 hospice providers. With one of the largest CAHPS Hospice benchmarks in the nation, SHP is uniquely positioned to identify and recognize organizations that have made the family and caregiver experience a top priority and have been rewarded with high marks on the CAHPS Hospice survey.

This marks the third time Windber Hospice has earned national recognition for excellence in family and caregiver experience, having also received the honor in 2021 and 2022. These consistent results highlight the dedication and compassion of the Windber Hospice team, who strive to provide comfort and dignity to patients and their families during life's most difficult moments.
