Catch an MVTV News special about Mission Viejo’s spectacular new America 250 artwork

Don't miss an MVTV News special look at Mission Viejo's newest public artwork - the stunning America 250 obelisk along the Oso Creek Trail.

As part of the City's yearlong celebration of America's 250th anniversary featuring events such as the Mission Viejo Parade and upcoming Prelude in the Park and Symphony in the Cities on August 8, the vibrant sculpture was created by the City and Mission Viejo Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

The art piece echoes some of the City's cherished public art traditions both in the medium of mosaic and the obelisk shape, while also visually connecting to historical iconography such as the Washington Monument. Though anchored in the past, the sculpture will be enjoyed by generations to come.

See the video now airing on the City's award-winning YouTube channel and take a stroll to see the new artwork in the center of the hedge maze on the Oso Creek Trail.
