Classes will not be in session Oct. 6 - 7 for fall break. For those looking to explore Atlanta during the long weekend, the city offers many attractions and events.

Stone Mountain Park's Pumpkin Festival

When: Oct. 3 - 5, 2 - 10 p.m.

Where: Stone Mountain Park

Spend the day at Stone Mountain to enjoy special fall entertainment like pie-eating contests, storytelling, shows, and park attractions. At night, watch parades and light shows, and play glow-in-the-dark mini golf.

Opening Weekend With Nathalie Stutzmann

When: Oct. 3 - 5, times vary

Where: Atlanta Symphony Hall

Led by music director Nathalie Stutzmann, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will have its season debut. Come by to hear an unforgettable rendition of Fanfare for the Common Man and performances by cellist Alisa Weilerstein.
