Based in Milton, Florida, Mist Works has been a manufacturing leader in the misting industry since 1998. The company is family owned and operated, building outdoor mist systems for industrial, commercial, hospitality, and residential industries. Their products are for cooling, humidification, odor control, dust suppression, and even fog effects.
ReMA News spoke with Brad Ritter, CEO at Mist Works about his short- and long-term goals for the company, how he decided to join ReMA, and where he sees the recycled materials industry moving in the next several years.
Back in the early 1990s, I was living in Las Vegas, where I experienced misting systems on a regular basis. When I moved back to the East Coast in the mid-1990s, I believed the concept of evaporative cooling would be an exceptional solution for helping people stay comfortable in the hot Southern climate.
In early 1996, I founded People Misters and began a journey into outdoor cooling, odor control, dust suppression, humidification, and fog effects. Because the climate in the Southeast was so different from the arid regions of the West, it took years of trial and error to perfect misting technology that could cool effectively without causing excessive surface wetting.
After refining and re-engineering existing systems, I eventually began designing and manufacturing high-quality misting pumps and custom systems specifically engineered to perform in humid environments.
In 2007, I left People Misters to my former partner, and in 2009 I rebranded the company as Mist Works. Since then, Mist Works has continued engineering, manufacturing & installing larger, more advanced misting products designed for demanding industrial applications.
Over the past eight years, our company has focused primarily on the waste and recycling industry, helping clients with odor neutralization and dust suppression solutions. We design and install our systems to improve environmental conditions, enhance operational efficiency, and help facilities remain compliant with local regulations-often assisting clients in avoiding costly violations and fines whenever possible.
In the short term we're looking to add a new line of chemical odor neutralizer products, and in the long term we would like to open a facility in the Dallas / Ft Worth TX area.
We were interested in attending the ReMA Gulf Coast Trade Show, we wanted to exhibit there and found out as members of ReMA we could get the discount rate.
What excites us most about becoming a new ReMA member is the opportunity to network with industry professionals and share how Mist Works' odor control fog systems and dust suppression mist systems help recycling and waste companies address ongoing environmental and operational challenges. We look forward to exchanging ideas, building relationships, and contributing solutions that improve site conditions, regulatory compliance, and overall efficiency within the industry.
Over the next several years, we hope to see the recycled materials industry continue to grow as businesses and communities place a greater emphasis on sustainability and environmental responsibility. As recycling operations expand, the need for effective odor control and dust suppression solutions will continue to increase as well. Mist Works is committed to helping operations meet these challenges with reliable misting and fogging systems designed to improve environmental conditions, workplace safety, and regulatory compliance.
We proudly manufacture our products in-house in Florida and stand behind everything we build. Customer support is extremely important to us, which is why we make ourselves available by phone most of the time-including nights and weekends for emergency troubleshooting-to answer questions or assist whenever a situation arises. Our goal is to provide not only dependable odor and dust control systems, but also the reliable service and support our customers can count on.
