Nighttime Lane Closure and On/Off- Ramp Lane Closures on Interstate 80 (I-80) in Vallejo & Fairfield, Solano County

Starting April 6, 2026, from 08:00 PM to 05:00 AM the following day.

Solano County - Caltrans Construction will be starting a new project that requires nighttime lane closure of multiple locations to set up temporary barriers in the construction site to ensure worker and public safety. Closures will occur nightly starting on Monday, April 6, 2026, at 08:00 PM to 05:00 AM the following day until set up completes Friday, April 10, 2026.

This project will install trash capture systems that will stop trash from going out into water sources. It will also entail update of guardrails and construction of mainline pull outs for maintenance vehicles and erosion control.

Schedule:

Nightly
Start - Monday, April 6, 2026,at 08:00 PMto 05:00 AM the following day
End- Friday, April 10, 2026

On/Off Ramp Locations:

Contractors will set up at one site and once they complete will move to the next location.

  • Eastbound (EB) I-80 On-Ramp from Magazine St.
  • Westbound (WB) I-80 Connector On-Ramp from I-780
  • I-80/780 West and East Separator
  • Georgia St. Overcrossing
  • WB I-80 On-Ramp from Solano Ave
  • WB I-80 Off-Ramp from Tennessee St.
  • WB I-80 Mainline Near Redwood St. Over Crossing
  • WB I-80 On-Ramp from State Route 37
  • WB I-80 Off- Ramp to Columbus Pkwy

Fairfield-

  • EB I-80 Off-Ramp to Southbound I-680
  • State Route 12 / I-80 Seperorator
