Andreas Künne is the new Ambassador of the European Union to Switzerland

18.09.2025 Delegation to SWITZERLAND AND LIECHTENSTEIN

On 18 September 2025, H.E. Mr Andreas Künne presented his letter of credence signed by the President of the Council, António Costa, and the President of the Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, to the President of the Swiss Confederation, Karin Keller-Sutter. With this, he became the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the European Union to Switzerland. During the ceremony, Ambassador Künne and President Keller-Sutter recalled the close ties and shared values between the European Union and Switzerland, as well as the importance and quality of the bilateral relations.
