Autopsy Results in Salem, New Hampshire Death Investigation

Concord, NH - Attorney General John M. Formella, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Mark B. Hall, and Salem Police Chief Joel P. Dolan announce that the autopsy has been completed on the body of Wichai Saksene (15) of Massachusetts, discovered just outside of a home on Orchard Terrace in Salem, New Hampshire on Friday, June 19, 2026.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner conducted the autopsy today and determined the minor's cause of death was a single gunshot wound of chest, and his manner of death was homicide.

The exact circumstances surrounding this incident are now under active investigation, and there is no known threat to the public at this time as all known parties have been identified.

Additional information will be released as it becomes available while protecting the integrity of the investigation.
