Contra Costa County -For the safety of the motoring public and our crews, Caltrans Construction will continue full closures on SR-4; spanning from Hillcrest Avenue to Byron Highway for ongoing paving and drainage operations. Full closures of eastbound SR-4 will be implemented, nightly from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. on July 1, 2026, and Monday July 6, 2026, in the City of Brentwood between Laurel Road and Sand Creek Road. Please note as work progresses the full closure may shorten, please follow posted detour signs and slow for the cone zone. WHAT TO EXPECT
Motorists are advised that complete closures, as well as lane and ramp closures, will continue along SR-4 Sunday through Thursday nights between 8:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. The westbound closures on SR-4 will reopen at 5:00 a.m. This project is tentatively scheduled to be complete by Summer 2027.
