Watch Riley Green Join 'The Voice' Contestant On Stage For Impromptu Duet
Riley Green joined Joe Henley on stage after the 19-year-old's blind audition on The Voice.
Henley delivered a powerful rendition of "Anymore," by Travis Tritt, earning chair turns from first-time coach Green and returning coach Kelly Clarkson (and earning praise on social media from country legend Randy Travis). Henley and Green, two country artists from Alabama, instantly bonded.When Henley said his favorite song is "My Way," Green picked up his guitar for an impromptu rendition.
"If I had it my way/ You'd call me up and say, 'I need you now/ And I can't go another day'/ I'd say, /You're all I ever think about/ Now I'd give anything to see your face'/ You'd say, 'I miss you' I'd say, 'I don't know how much more I can take'/ You'd say, 'I'm on my way'/ If I had it my way"Green solo wrote "My Way" for his acting debut on the Yellowstone spinoff, Marshals. His impromptu rendition with Henley sealed the deal. Henley assured, "I love you, Miss Kelly, so much. I promise. But I'm gonna go with Mr. Riley Green."
The Voice premiered on Monday night (September 21), and will continue with a three-night premiere event. After that, the show's milestone 30th season will continue to air on Mondays on NBC at 8 p.m. ET, and will be available to stream the following day on Peacock.
