DES MOINES, Iowa - Members of the Iowa Association of Business and Industry (ABI), Leadership Iowa alumni, community leaders, and the current Leadership Iowa class will gather in Fort Dodge on Thursday, November 6, at 11:00 a.m. to explore Iowa's agricultural landscape as part of the Connecting Statewide Leaders discussion series, presented by ABI.
Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig will headline the event, sharing insights on Iowa's agriculture industry and its role in driving economic growth and community development. First elected to lead the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship in 2018, Naig has championed Iowa's farmers and agribusinesses, emphasizing water quality, workforce development, and sustainable growth across the state.
Connecting Statewide Leaders is a popular discussion series hosted twice per year in communities across Iowa. Each event brings together leaders and experts to discuss issues and industries vital to the state's success. Once again, ABI has paired this series with its Leadership Iowa program, hosting each event in cities visited by the current class. The 2025-26 Leadership Iowa class will be in Fort Dodge November 6-7, focusing on agriculture, natural resources, and renewable energy.
"Secretary Naig's perspective on Iowa's agricultural and economic future will resonate with leaders from all industries," said Nicole Crain, ABI President. "We're excited to welcome him to Fort Dodge and provide another opportunity for Iowa professionals to connect and learn from one another."
