Randy Foye ’06 CLAS Named Recipient of 2025 Villanova University Alumni Association Loyalty Award

VILLANOVA, Pa. (Nov. 5, 2025)-The Villanova University Alumni Association (VUAA) has announced the selection of Randy Foye '06 CLAS as the recipient of its 2025 Loyalty Award. The oldest alumni honor conferred by the University, the Loyalty Award was instituted in 1932 and is presented annually to alumni who have rendered distinguished service to Villanova. Recipients of the Loyalty Award are selected by a vote of previous award winners. Foye received the award at a ceremony during Homecoming weekend on Oct. 25, 2025.

"I am delighted to present this year's Loyalty Award to Randy Foye, whose passion for Villanova continues to inspire our community," said Sheila Doherty, associate vice president for Alumni Relations. "Randy's leadership, mentorship and service reflect the very best of our University. Through his commitment to supporting Villanova's student-athletes and volunteerism on behalf of the University, Randy embodies the Augustinian Catholic values that define what it means to be a Villanovan."

A Villanova men's basketball standout, Foye led the team to its first BIG EAST regular season title since 1997, helped secure the program's first No. 1 NCAA Tournament seed and earned honors as BIG EAST Player of the Year and Consensus All-American. Drafted seventh overall in 2006, he went on to enjoy an 11-year NBA career.

Today, Foye channels his passion for athletics into service and mentorship. He serves as president of Friends of Nova, which partners with the University to provide mission-driven NIL opportunities for Villanova student-athletes, and founded the Friends of Nova Basketball Camp to support youth development. He also leads the Randy Foye Foundation, which has served children in Newark, New Jersey, since 2007 by providing educational support and community programs. In addition, he is Coach and CEO of Epic Elite AAU Basketball, through which he mentors young athletes, and remains an active Villanova volunteer.

"I am honored to have been selected as the recipient of this year's Loyalty Award," Foye said. "Villanova shaped me into the person I am today, and being recognized as a leader within the alumni community is both humbling and deeply meaningful."

Foye's influence also extends into broadcasting as an analyst for the YES Network and co-host of the Outside Shot podcast. In 2024, his commitment to mentoring young athletes earned him induction into the Hall of Fame of WEforum, an organization that aims to strengthen community health and wellness by targeting individuals through educational programs and services.

Foye lives in Red Bank, N.J., with his wife, Christine Foye, and their three daughters, Paige, Penelope and Pilar.
