MLGW updates online Outage Map and adds Transfer Service Requests to My Account

Memphis Light, Gas and Water updated its online outage map and added a transfer service request to My Account. Both will go live on Friday, December 19, after a brief downtime on Thursday, December 18, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.

OUTAGE MAP

MLGW's new Outage Map makes it easier to view and track outages, both on mlgw.com and within MLGW's app. The map provides general information about the outage levels across Shelby County. All information displayed is based on reported and known outages. For information about your specific outage, or if you have an outage and the section of the map you are in doesn't show any outages, call MLGW's Electric Outage Hotline, (901) 544-6500.

TRANSFER SERVICE REQUESTS

Customers can now transfer service within the My Account app. There will be fewer fields to fill out, automatic eligibility checks, real-time messaging, service order details and faster processing times.

My Account also allows customers to stop service. To start service, customers can visit mlgw.com/residential/requestservice.
