(Washington, DC) - On Monday, September 29 at 11:30 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser will preview legislation tied to the Growth Agenda, which is intended to support citywide growth, streamline development processes, and enhance the District's competitiveness as a hub for innovation, entrepreneurship, and investment. The Mayor will also announce the recipients of the Vitality Fund and the inaugural Growth Fund - two incentive programs supporting businesses in high growth industries including the technology, life sciences, and professional services sectors. More than $1.5 million will be awarded, resulting in 250 new jobs.
The Mayor's Growth Agenda is designed to attract and grow businesses, create jobs for DC residents, and build a strong economy to help DC thrive. The FY26 Grow DC Budget invests $52 million for early-stage, DC-based tech companies and $2.4 million for tech start-up accelerators - and it adds another $5 million to the Vitality Fund to keep the District's economy growing.
