Senator Warren Statement on June 2026 Jobs Report

Washington, D.C. - United States Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Ranking Member of the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee released the following statement:

"The economy added 57,000 jobs in June, below expectations. Since President Trump took office, the economy has added only 37,000 jobs per month - far below the 120,000 jobs the economy added on average each month in 2024. The hiring rate continues to stall, long-term unemployment is up, and inflation is shrinking families' wallets. President Trump's failing economic agenda is weakening the labor market."
