Senators Decline to Advance Clarity Act

WASHINGTON, DC-American Association for Justice (AAJ) CEO Linda Lipsen issued the following statement after Senators declined to advance a vote on the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act:
"Today's vote to stop the Clarity Act from advancing in the Senate protects the rights of families, workers, and retirees. When financial systems collapse, hard-working Americans are left to pick up the pieces - any federal legislation must support market integrity while preserving critical consumer protections. The Clarity Act fails to safeguard Americans' investments and savings, threatens the retirement security of millions, and would leave consumers, investors, and workers with fewer rights than they have under current law. I commend the Senators who opposed today's effort to advance this version of the Clarity Act, and I urge Congress to continue to oppose any effort to advance this bill if critical changes are not made."
