Press invitation: Latvian Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs to make his first foreign visit to Estonia

Stenbock House, 5 June 2026 - Recently appointed Latvian Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs will visit Estonia on Monday.

"Estonia and Latvia are good neighbours and strong allies. Andris Kulbergs knows Estonia well. We will continue working to make our region even stronger, safer and better connected. As the chair of Baltic cooperation, Estonia will focus on our shared priorities," said Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal ahead of the visit.

In addition to meeting the Prime Minister, Kulbergs will also meet with President of the Riigikogu Lauri Hussar on Monday. President of the Baltic Assembly Timo Suslov will also take part in the meeting at the Riigikogu. On Tuesday, the Latvian Prime Minister will meet with Estonian President Alar Karis and attend the meeting of Nordic-Baltic (NB8) prime ministers in Tallinn.

The bilateral meeting between Kristen Michal and Andris Kulbergs will be followed by a joint press conference by the prime ministers on Monday at 14:45 at the House of the Knighthood (Kohtu 1). The press conference can also be followed via live stream.
