Volunteers Needed for November 3, 2026, Statewide General Election

If you are interested in serving our community as an election worker, please sign up at KernVote.com and click on the poll worker portal to apply. If you are already an election worker, you can simply log in to your portal and mark yourself available.

We are always in need of volunteers to serve in the outlying cities and areas of Kern County. If you are willing to travel other than where you will live, mileage will be paid.

Prior to election day, volunteers are required to attend a two-hour training class as well as participate in the setup process the day before election day, which typically takes about two hours. On election day, volunteers must commit to arriving at their poll site no later than 6:00 a.m. and work until their poll site is closed for the day and the ballots are on their way back to the Elections Office, which is generally around 10:00 p.m. Unfortunately, part-time assignments cannot be accommodated as election workers must work the entire day to ensure adequate coverage at each poll site.

Family and friends are always welcome, and if you know anyone who may be interested in volunteering as an election worker, please encourage them to visit KernVote.com and apply.

If you have any questions, please contact the Elections Division at (661) 868-3590 or email us at [email protected].

Thank you for supporting this vital civic function!
