Rep. Clyde Celebrates One Year of President Trump’s Second Term

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congressman Andrew Clyde (GA-09) released the following statement celebrating the one year anniversary of President Donald J. Trump's second term:

"365 days ago, President Trump returned to Washington after accomplishing the greatest political comeback in American history," said Clyde. "While he inherited Joe Biden's runaway inflation, open borders, and chaos on the world stage, President Trump has worked at lightning speed to get our country back on track. From sealing our borders and achieving negative net migration to securing historic working family tax cuts, President Trump's first year back is marked by monumental America First victories. In honor of the anniversary of President Trump's return, the White House released 365 Wins in 365 Days. Some key highlights include:

• Achieved negative net migration in 2025, reversing a 50-year trend and restoring U.S. control over immigration flows for the first time in a generation.
• Carried out over 650,000 arrests, detentions, and deportations of illegal aliens - including the worst of the worst criminal illegal alien killers, rapists, gang members, and repeat offenders.
• Drove gas prices to their lowest level in nearly five years, with prices below $3 per gallon in 43 states and below $2 per gallon in 19 states.
• Created 654,000 private-sector jobs following deregulation, tax relief, and restored investment confidence.
• Tamed inflation, running at just 2.4% since President Trump took office - down 70% from its Biden-era peak.
• Achieved the lowest mortgage rates in three years by stabilizing mortgage-backed securities markets and expanding liquidity - driving monthly housing payments to their most affordable levels in over two years.
• Signed the Working Families Tax Cut, delivering the largest middle-class tax relief package in modern U.S. history and saving 5.9 million jobs.
• Reduced the trade deficit to its lowest since 2009.
