Job Centers welcome job seekers, job explorers, and employers

MADISON - In celebration of National Workforce Development month in Wisconsin, the Department of Workforce Development (DWD) invites job seekers, employers, and partners to explore services offered by the Job Center of Wisconsin (JCW) on Wednesdays in September (Sept. 10, 17, and 24), from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 13 job center locations across the state.

"We know fall is a prime time for people to make a change, and the Job Center of Wisconsin is here to help," said DWD Secretary Amy Pechacek. "Whether you are looking to explore a new career, refresh your resume or interviewing skills, are unemployed, or are an employer looking for new talent, our Workforce Wednesdays are an opportunity for Wisconsinites to access expert employment services for free."

Job seekers and employers can access specialized expert services including career navigators and business service professionals to help them connect to the right job and talent. Skilled employment and training specialists knowledgeable about local employer demands and are ready to help. JCW also partners with libraries, correctional facilities, and mobile career labs to assist those who may have challenges accessing workforce services.

JCW staff will participate in regional hiring and resource events throughout the month; a full list of events can be found on the DWD website.
