Are you an attorney or practitioner interested in getting more involved in the bankruptcy community and helping strengthen communication between the bankruptcy bar and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois?
The Bankruptcy Court Liaison Committee is seeking interested practitioners to serve on the Committee.
The Liaison Committee promotes open and effective communication between the judges of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois and attorneys appearing before the Court. The Committee addresses issues affecting the bankruptcy bar, including local procedures and rules, professionalism and etiquette, and the general state of bankruptcy practice in the Northern District of Illinois.
Members also have the opportunity to:
• Help facilitate communication between practitioners and the Court
• Contribute to the Committee's newsletter and local practice questionnaires
• Participate in educational programs and professional events
• Promote collegial relationships between judges and practitioners
• Provide a point of contact for practitioners to anonymously share relevant ideas and concerns with the Committee
