Several NATCA members, both current and retired, recently took part in the Central Indiana ALF-CIO Bowling Tournament to benefit the Coalition for Homelessness Intervention and Prevention (CHIP). The event raised thousands of dollars for homeless in the Indianapolis area.
Competing for 'Team NATCA' were Pete Dominguez (Indianapolis Center, ZID), Brian Preslin (ZID-retired), Tom Thompson (ZID-retired), and Robert Zabel (ZID-retired). The foursome competed against other teams from the International Association of Firefighters (IAFF), the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry of the United States and Canada (UA), Indianapolis City Bus Drivers (ATU), municipal workers representing AFSCME, and postal workers who are members of American Postal Workers Union (APWU), and others. All the money raised benefits CHIP, which mobilizes, advocates, and empowers community collaboration toward ending homelessness and fosters an effective system of homelessness prevention and intervention in the greater Indianapolis area.
