The City of Key West and the City Commission this month recognized Kervens Pierre, Foreman at the City Marina, for his ten years of dedicated service to the City.
"Every department," said Port and Marinas Director Steve McAlearney, "has someone who pulls more than their weight and Kervens certainly pull more than his and then some."
Pierre started with the City at Key West Bight as a Maintenance I worker, working his way up to the position of Foreman about five years ago.
"The great thing about his starting at Key West Bight," said McAlearney, "is that he knows both marinas like the back of his hand. Kervens is always the first guy to come in when a pipe breaks on the weekend or after hours. He's been out there stopping leaks in the middle of the night."
