On 17 August 2026, the new European Soy Monitor was released, covering data for 2024. The report points to a continued multi-year trend of increased certified soy sourcing (14.6 million tonnes); however, due to an increase in the overall soy footprint of the EU27+, the balanced percentage of FEFAC Soy Sourcing Guidelines-compliant soy dropped to 44%. The report encourages the establishment of commitments and coordinated, collective approaches to sustainable soy sourcing at national level, which look to deliver the best results.
The European Soy Monitor 2024 is commissioned by Donau Soja, FEDIOL, FEFAC, IUCN NL, ProTerra Foundation and the Round Table on Responsible Soy Association (RTRS).
