The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 190 in Enfield. This project is scheduled to occur on Wednesday, May 20 and be completed on Monday, June 15, 2026. The project DOT01710531CN A consists of milling and resurfacing a 3.43-mile segment of Route 190 in Enfield from the entrance to Enfield Professional Park to the Enfield - Somers Town Line. This project is scheduled to begin milling by Rafferty Fine Grading on Wednesday, May 20 to Monday, June 1, 2026. The resurfacing segment of this project by Palmer Paving is anticipated to begin on Sunday, June 7 to Monday, June 15, 2026.
This project is included in CTDOT's 2026 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures of Route 190 in Enfield from the entrance to Enfield Professional Park to the Enfield - Somers Town Line in Enfield. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 6:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Sunday to Thursday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
