The Republic of Moldova accedes to the Second Protocol of the Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict
On 16 January 2026, the Republic of Moldova deposited with the Director-General its instrument of accession to the Second Protocol to the Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict (The Hague, 26 March 1999).
In accordance with the terms of its Article 43.2, the Second Protocol will enter into force with respect to the Republic of Moldova three months after the deposit of the instrument of accession, that is to say on 16 April 2026.
