GVSU Athletics honored nationally for excellence

GVSU Athletics has earned national recognition for excellence overall and also for its marketing efforts.

Grand Valley captured the 2025-26 Learfield Directors' Cup title for the sixth consecutive time. The Learfield Sports Directors' Cup trophy is presented to the top athletic department in the country each year.

This is the 18th title for GVSU, a Division II record.

Also, the Athletics marketing team earned the Marketing Team of the Year Award from the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators . All five team members, Josh Borger, Kenleigh West-Wing, Evan Ritchie, Cooper Roberts and Cameron Koberna, are graduates of GVSU's sport management program.
