REVISED TRAFFIC CONTROL AND STREET CLOSURE AT N. BROADWAY STREET & RUBY STREET EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 3, 2025Post Date:10/31/2025 8:29 AM Joliet, IL - As part of the Broadway Street Water Main Improvement Project, new concrete pavement must be constructed at the intersection of N. Broadway Street and Ruby Street. To complete the next phase of construction, the traffic pattern and street closures must be modified to construct new pavement at the intersection of N. Broadway Street and Ruby Street.  North bound traffic on N. Broadway Street from Marble Street to Ruby Street will be closed.  The Ruby Street east bound left turn lane traffic to northbound N. Broadway Street will also be closed during this phase of construction.  East bound Ruby St and south bound N. Broadway Street will remain open.  Local detours will be in place.  Westbound traffic on Ruby Street and the westbound right turn lane from Ruby Street to N. Broadway Street will remain open.  This new temporary traffic measure will be in place beginning the morning of November 3rd and will be completed by November 17th.  Drivers are encouraged to seek alternative routes for the duration of the work. We appreciate your patience and ask that you drive slowly and cautiously through any construction zone.
