Tennis Superstar Katarina Liedbeck ’26 Named NE10 Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year—the Second in Adelphi History

Colchester, Vt. - After a fantastic career on the Adelphi women's tennis team, the accolades continue to roll in for . At the Northeast 10 Awards Banquet held at Saint Michael's College on Monday night, it was announced that Liedbeck was named the NE10's Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Liedbeck becomes the second Panther to receive this prestigious honor in department history, following women's soccer player Taylor Groth, who received the award in 2017.

The Bastad, Sweden, native graduates with a degree in computer science, minoring in mathematics, and a 3.985 cumulative grade point average. Her career features an NE10 Player of the Year honor, three NE10 Elite 24 awards, two CSC Academic All-America selections, two ITA East Region doubles titles, two Northeast 10 championships, the ITA East Region Senior Player of the Year award and six all-conference team selections, among other honors.

This season, Liedbeck helped lead the Adelphi women's tennis program to an NE10 Championship title, an NE10 regular-season title, an NCAA Tournament victory over Jefferson and its first-ever NCAA Sweet Sixteen appearance.

The NE10 presents its prestigious Outstanding Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards to a male and a female graduating student-athlete who have each exhausted their athletic eligibility and exhibited sustained excellence in both academic achievement and athletic competition.
