Weekend Lane Closures on SR 141 and I-285 in Doraville for Maintenance
METRO ATLANTA - Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) maintenance crews will install lane closures on State Route (SR) 141/Peachtree Boulevard and Interstate 285 (I-285) in the Doraville area of DeKalb County this weekend. The purpose of the closures is the ensure safety for workers and motorists during the maintenance repairs.

Weather and on-site conditions permitting, these are the lane closures scheduled from 9 p.m. on Friday, May 15 until 5 a.m. on Monday:
  • One left lane will be closed on SR 141/Peachtree Boulevard near Tilly Mill Road
  • One left lane will be closed I-285 eastbound and westbound at SR 141/Peachtree Boulevard (exit 30)
  • One right lane will be closed on the I-285 eastbound ramp to I-85 northbound (exit 33)
Signage will advise motorists approaching the area of the closures and shifts in advance.

Advisory: Motorists traveling in the area are reminded to reduce their speeds in the work zone. Drivers are also advised to wear seatbelts, eliminate distractions behind the wheel - put your phone down, and plan routes before getting on the road by calling 511, visit 511ga.org or download the 511GA app for Apple or Android for real-time information on work status and traffic conditions.
