GDOT District 3 was awarded three projects in June
2026

The first investments of this month are in Muscogee County. One includes 1.29 miles of resurfacing on US 27/ SR 1 beginning north of SR 520 and extending north of 14th Street. The cost is approximately for $1.3 million. The contract was awarded to C.W. Matthews Contracting Co, Inc. The next is a resurfacing project on SR 1 beginning at SR 85 and extending toward Turnberry Lane. it consists of 8.11 miles, including plant mix resurfacing and shoulder rehab. The resurfacing project is estimated to cost approximately $7.6 million. The contract was awarded to C. W Matthews Contracting, Inc.

The next investment is located in Chattahoochee County and consists of 8.28 miles of resurfacing and shoulder rehab on SR 26 beginning East of SR 520 and extending to the Marion County Line. The cost is 2.5 million. The contract was awarded to Oxford Construction Company.


The last investment is located in Schley and Sumter counties. This project consists of 9.80 miles of resurfacing of SR 3, beginning east at Hillcrest Grange Drive and extending north of SR 271. This will include plant mix, resurfacing and shoulder rehabilitation. The project will cost approximately $7.2 million and was awarded to Reeves Construction Company.

Start dates have not been established for any of the contracts and are not scheduled.
