City of Boulder Offers Free Downtown Public Art Walking Tours This Summer

Join the City of Boulder this summer for free guided walking tours of downtown Boulder's public art collection. Each 1.5-hour tour features approximately 30 stops showcasing sculptures, murals and works of urban design throughout downtown. Tours begin at the corner of 17th and Pearl Street and conclude near the Boulder County Farmers Market at 13th Street and Canyon Boulevard. Tours are free, but advance registration is required.

Guided tours will be offered select Saturday mornings beginning June 13 and Wednesday evenings beginning June 17. In addition to tours offered in English, this year's lineup includes:

• Spanish language tours
• Dutch language tour
• German language tour
• Tactile and accessible tours
• Drag Queen-led tour for Boulder Pride

"Our public art tours are designed to help more people connect with Boulder's public spaces, stories and creative community," said Brendan Picker-Mahoney, Public Art Program Manager. "By offering tours in multiple languages and formats, including tactile and accessible experiences, we're working to ensure people of all backgrounds and abilities can experience and engage with Boulder's public art collection in meaningful ways."

Participants are encouraged to bring comfortable walking shoes and a water bottle. Tours may be canceled due to low registration or inclement weather. Registered participants will be notified of any schedule changes.
