Food Assistance and Support Available During Federal Shutdown

Gilbert, Ariz. - With the ongoing federal government shutdown, some Gilbert residents may be affected by temporary disruptions to federal programs, including the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

How You Can Help

Many of our local food pantries are seeing increased demand and can use extra support.

• Make a financial contribution. Even small donations can provide multiple meals for local families.
• Donate non-perishable food. Drop off items such as canned goods, pasta, rice, and peanut butter at local food banks or community pantries.
• Volunteer your time. Help sort, pack, or distribute food to those in need.
