The Center for Advocacy and Student Experience will reintroduce itself to campus on Thursday, Sept. 11, with Light Up the Night, an event highlighting the importance of caring for one's mental health and the range of free mental health and wellness services available to students.

Light Up the Night is scheduled from 3 to 7 p.m. at Centennial Mall.

"Light up the Night has provided our students a space to build community, grow their coping skills and connect to campus and community resources for four years now," said Danielle Lutman, CASE associate director. "We are honored to make space for the destigmatization of mental health and wellness."

In addition to information about mental health resources, there will be service ponies, music and activities - including glow-in-the-dark archery - a car smash and yoga.

Nearly 20 departments and offices campuswide will be participating in this year's Light up the Night, along with several major mental health agencies in the area such as the National Alliance on Mental Illness Toledo Chapter, the Zepf Center and Harbor.

Light Up the Night is supported by the Office of Student Engagement and Connections, the Rocket Career Center, Title IX and the Office of Recreational Services.
