Perfectly Imperfect Quilters Spread Kindness One Stich at a Time

Lions Club Park Senior Center's quilting program supports those in need.

KILLEEN, Texas (September 10, 2025) The Perfectly Imperfect Quilters, a dedicated community group of seniors, are making notable strides in philanthropy by providing warmth and comfort to those in need. Recently, they welcomed new members, infusing fresh energy into their Friday gatherings and expanding their charitable outreach.

This month, the Quilters announced a partnership with The Source, a local organization that supports families in need. They donated 25 beautifully crafted baby blankets, afghans, and quilts, ensuring that infants have a cozy start to life and that families feel supported during challenging times.

Continuing their valued partnership with the Ronald McDonald House, the Quilters donated 25 quilts along with several essential items from the House's wish list, aimed at comforting families facing medical challenges with their children. These contributions not only provide warmth but also remind families that they are not alone in their struggles.

"The Perfectly Imperfect Quilters' work goes beyond the stitches on fabric; they are weaving a tapestry of support, compassion, and hope for mothers, babies, and families in need," said Kathryn Winston, manager of the Lions Club Park Senior Center. "Each quilt represents hours of devotion and love, and every donation reflects their commitment to positively impacting the community."
