AHN Earns Four Top-10 Spots in Newsweek's 2027 List of America's Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers

Monroeville, Westmoreland, Bethel Park and Wexford facilities recognized among Pennsylvania's highest-ranked outpatient surgery centers

PITTSBURGH (November. 3, 2026) - Four Allegheny Health Network (AHN) outpatient surgery facilities have been recognized among Pennsylvania's highest-performing ambulatory surgery centers in Newsweek's America's Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers 2027 rankings. AHN's Monroeville Surgery Center, Westmoreland Outpatient Center, Bethel Park Surgery Center and Wexford Health + Wellness Pavilion Surgery Center were all ranked among the state's top 10 facilities.

AHN's Monroeville Surgery Center was ranked No. 2 in Pennsylvania, while its Westmoreland Outpatient Center, Bethel Park Surgery Center and Wexford Health + Wellness Pavilion Surgery Center were ranked No. 3, No. 5 and No. 10, respectively.

The 2027 ranking highlights 750 leading ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) across the country, evaluated through a rigorous scoring model based on quality metrics, peer recommendations, patient experience and accreditations.

The AHN Monroeville Surgery Center opened its doors in 2013 and has since significantly expanded its services. It offers a full complement of outpatient surgical specialties in urology, ophthalmology, gastroenterology and gynecology, as well as a variety of orthopaedic surgeries, including same-day total hip and knee replacements. The Monroeville Surgery Center was the first facility in Western Pennsylvania to offer joint replacement procedures in an ambulatory surgery setting.

A range of specialized surgical services are offered at the other AHN surgery centers recognized by Newsweek. The AHN Westmoreland Outpatient Center provides a full suite of outpatient gastroenterology procedures. The Bethel Park Surgery Center, located within the AHN Bethel Park Health + Wellness Pavilion, provides services across a number of specialties, including orthopaedics, gastroenterology, general surgery and pain management. The AHN Wexford Health + Wellness Pavilion Surgery Center specializes in general and minimally invasive surgeries as well as reconstructive and upper-extremity procedures.
