Falkowski Earns 2025 Inclusion in Digital Marketing Scholarship

Kate Maria Falkowski, a senior graphic and interactive design student, recently won the Inclusion in Digital Marketing Scholarship from Intuitive Digital, a value-driven digital marketing company based in Portland, Oregon. She was selected from more than 200 applicants, following in the footsteps of the previous awardees from universities such as University of Oregon, University of Texas at San Antonio, and Georgia State University.

"Falkowski's love for inclusive design and her ability to utilize her skills to support and provide value to her community were clearly evident," said Alysha Schultz, vice president of marketing and culture at Intuitive Design. "She brings her passion for using design to create human connection to a variety of spaces, including another one of her interests, sports. Another arena where both diversity and inclusion are greatly needed. Currently, she volunteers as the social media assistant and photographer for Neumann University's roller hockey team and Monmouth University's surf club."

While growing up, Falkowski said art was an essential part of how related to others, and it helped lead her to select a career in digital design. "My academic journey has been shaped by hands-on experience and a passion for user-centered and inclusive designs that emphasize functionality without compromising on aesthetics. Once I complete my studies, my long-term goal is to work in UI/UX app design or in marketing design for a professional sports team, where visual communication directly influences both fans and the brand as a whole," she said in an interview with Schultz.

Now in its sixth year, the scholarship supports students from underrepresented communities pursuing careers in digital marketing, studying web development, communications, UX, PPC, SEO, graphic design, and related fields.

Founded in 2012, Intuitive Digital is a digital marketing agency that emphasizes values-driven work to inspire change. They prioritize putting people first and aim to create marketing campaigns that are thoughtful and inclusive.
