Henderson Animal Protection Services Celebrates ‘Adopt a Shelter Dog’ Month With Half off Adoptions
Adoption Fees for Dogs Six Months and Older Will Be Half off in October
HENDERSON, Nev. (Sept. 30, 2026) - October is Adopt a Shelter Dog Month and the City of Henderson Animal Protection Services is celebrating with an adoption special, making it the perfect time to give a shelter dog a loving home!
Starting Thursday, Oct. 1 through Saturday, Oct. 31, adoption fees for dogs six months and older will be half off. Shelter dogs come in all shapes, sizes and personalities, each with something special to offer. Whether you are looking for an active trail companion, cuddle buddy or simply a loving addition to your family, there is a dog waiting to meet you. Adopting a shelter dog is more than bringing home a pet, it is giving an animal a second chance.
Visit Henderson Animal Protection Services location at 300. E. Galleria Dr., Monday - Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed on Sundays and government-recognized holidays). Adoptions are finalized by 4:30 p.m.
