JEFFERSON CITY, MO - The Clean Fuels Alliance Foundation has extended the application deadline for the Beth Calabotta Sustainability Education Grant to Monday, Feb. 16, 2026. The Foundation continues to seek passionate student scientists and researchers committed to advancing sustainability in biodiesel, renewable diesel and related fields.
Established in 2018, the Beth Calabotta Sustainability Education Grant provides a $3,000 award to one deserving full-time student who's academic or research work supports initiatives in the clean fuels industry. The award also allows the recipient to attend and participate in Clean Fuels Alliance America's Sustainability Workshop, scheduled for April 27-29, 2026, in Kansas City, Missouri, and any remaining funds may be applied toward academic expenses.
Eligibility and Application Details:
"We encourage all passionate student scientists interested in sustainability to apply for this unique opportunity," said Colin Huwyler, CEO of Optimus Technologies and chair of the Foundation's Scholarship Committee. "Building the next generation of talent is essential to advancing clean fuel technologies."

Beth had an unquenchable love for agriculture and life sciences. Later in her career, Calabotta's efforts focused almost solely on developing biofuels as viable energy alternatives to conventional fuels.
