Olympus Corporation (Olympus), a global MedTech company, today announced the launch of its latest generation of rigid cystoscopes in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA)*. The new OES Elite rigid Cystoscopes feature smooth instrument passage1 and are redesigned to reduce procedural strain for both clinicians and patients.

Smooth Passage for Smooth Procedures

As one of the most notable advancements, the design of the OES Elite's Cystoscopy system improves instrument passage by 25%¹ compared to the previous product line OES Pro Rigid Cystoscope. This enables clinicians to perform procedures smoothly. Larger working channels allow the use of slimmer cystoscopes for the same procedures, which supports patient comfort.²

New bridge and sheath variants have been added to the OES Elite rigid cystoscopy product line to meet different needs, like a bridge variant with ergonomic top-access design and a longer sheath suitable for cases where extra length is needed.3 All bridges and sheaths have been redesigned to include the established click-lock mechanism from the Olympus resectoscope and intuitive color coding for different sizes, ensuring secure and easy assembly and efficient setup.4 The bridges are offered with or without dismountable stopcocks.

Compatible with reusable high-cost components, the OES Elite Cystoscopy system was designed to deliver long-term value for healthcare facilities. The cystoscopes are manufactured in Germany and are now commercially available across the EMEA region* in a wide range of different sizes and configurations for expanded procedural flexibility.
